Grand Theft Auto VI Set for Launch This November on Modern Consoles

Grand Theft Auto VI approaches its scheduled release on current-gen consoles, sparking massive cultural anticipation and heavy promotional efforts.

Grand Theft Auto VI is preparing for launch on November 19 across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The long-awaited sequel arrives after extensive delays, with anticipation building so heavily that businesses and government entities are actively preparing for widespread workforce absences on launch day.

Rockstar Games has rolled out an expansive promotional push leading up to release, showcasing advertisements across major metropolitan hubs including Miami, Paris, and New York City. The marketing rollout also includes unique activations such as a themed NBA regular season contest in Miami alongside venue advertising at Hard Rock Stadium.

Beyond visual promotions, the title places a massive emphasis on its musical lineup. Rockstar has backed an album featuring original tracks by high-profile artists including Travis Scott, Cardi B, and Keith Richards, while in-game radio stations will be hosted by popular music stars like Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey, and Morgan Wallen. While console players can jump in next month, a PC edition remains officially unconfirmed, with rumors pointing to early 2027.

Announced release date: 19 Nov 2026
