Squadron 42 Launches Steam Page with PC Specs and Q2 2027 Window
Squadron 42 has launched its official Steam page, revealing PC system requirements, a 150GB install size, and a target release window for Q2 2027.

The standalone single-player campaign for Star Citizen, Squadron 42, now has an official store page on Steam. The storefront listing brings more concrete details for prospective players following previous release schedule changes, including an initial look at what hardware the sci-fi adventure will require on PC.
Alongside the new store presence, the listing details system requirements that omit references to DirectX 12 or ray-tracing features, though players will still need to clear a substantial 150GB of storage space. The page also outlines a targeted launch window set for the second quarter of 2027, arriving after previous delays moved the project out of 2026.
A fresh trailer accompanied the store debut, highlighting the military sci-fi narrative and its star-studded cast. The footage previews characters portrayed by actors including Mark Hamill, Gary Oldman, and Rhona Mitra, while showcasing the male protagonist ahead of the planned 2027 release.
