Developer S-Game's action title Phantom Blade Zero has enjoyed a major commercial debut, swiftly drawing hundreds of thousands of active users on PC. Hours following its arrival, the game achieved a peak concurrent player count of 723,876 on Steam, backed by an estimated one million units sold prior to release. The title is also out on PlayStation 5, delivering stylized action featuring combat sequences choreographed by Donnie Yen.
Pre-launch data highlighted massive regional interest, with Alinea Analytics reporting that China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong represented 62.5 percent of preorders when sales crossed 850,000 copies. Analyst Rhys Elliott noted that these territories accounted for nearly 76 percent of Steam purchases and roughly a quarter of PS5 copies, amassing approximately $43 million in early revenue and placing the title among the top 40 highest-grossing releases of 2026.
In an address celebrating the release, creative director Soulframe Liang expressed gratitude toward players and the development crew for supporting the ambitious project. While analysts do not expect its lifetime trajectory to mirror the historic early pace of Black Myth: Wukong, the release marks a notable commercial milestone for the studio's Wuxia-inspired combat game.
