Developer S-Game has deployed a day-one update for Phantom Blade Zero across platforms as the title arrives on the market. The download measures roughly 5GB on PC and about 2GB on PlayStation 5, where it displays as version 1.301.524. Players who have already pre-loaded the action game are urged to apply the patch prior to jumping in, while fresh downloads will package the update automatically.

The primary focus of the initial patch is optimizing visual performance and squashing early bugs. According to the studio, the build significantly enhances ray tracing and path tracing efficiency while also refining rasterized presentation. These adjustments aim to preserve the title's visual style even when advanced lighting features are disabled, which should aid players on lower-spec hardware and portable gaming systems like the Steam Deck.

Alongside the game update, S-Game issued an explicit recommendation for PC users regarding graphics software. The team identified performance instability when running the title on Nvidia's 621.01 driver build. Until a newer update is published by Nvidia, the developer advises affected players to roll back to version 617.42 using a clean installation to maintain optimal frame rates.
