CD Projekt Red has revealed that an upcoming update is heading to Cyberpunk 2077. The RPG will be brought up to version 2.5 on October 22, 2026, launching in tandem with the second season of its animated spin-off series, Edgerunners.
Ahead of the rollout, the studio is hosting a REDstream broadcast on Wednesday to detail the patch. Initial teasers indicate the arrival of cyberware customization options alongside a brand-new dual-wielding combat style, among other unannounced additions.
While exact crossover details remain speculative, the developer noted that the additions will connect to the animated show. Full mechanics and potential further adjustments will be clarified during the scheduled livestream.
