The unexpected 2.5 patch for Cyberpunk 2077 quietly introduces swords and clothing inspired by The Witcher 3 alongside other gameplay additions.

The surprise 2.5 patch for Cyberpunk 2077 arrived with unannounced crossover equipment inspired by The Witcher 3. While the patch officially highlighted features like dual-wielding, extra quests, and expanded appearance choices for V, players quickly realized that CD Projekt Red slipped in several themed weapons and wardrobe pieces without documenting them in the patch notes.
Among the unlisted gear are melee weapons such as the Boar Carver knife and the runic Sihil Sword. For apparel, players can track down the Professor's Spectacles alongside the Bear School-themed Ursine Jacket and Ursine Pants. Players can retrieve these items directly from V's apartment following an in-game text message regarding a gift from Arianne.
The unannounced items follow other major franchise developments, including the recent second season of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners animated series and a planned live-action film adaptation. Meanwhile, CD Projekt Red is balancing work on future projects, having previously signaled an end to full expansions for Cyberpunk 2077 as development continues on its sequel alongside The Witcher 4.
