Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 Adds Dual-Wielding and Cyberware Customization

CD Projekt Red has unveiled Update 2.5 for Cyberpunk 2077, aligning with the premiere of the second season of Cyberpunk Edgerunners. Scheduled to release on October 22, the upcoming patch brings fresh additions tied to the anime series across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The studio revealed that players can anticipate cyberware customization options alongside a newly introduced dual-wielding playstyle. A dedicated livestream broadcast scheduled for Wednesday at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET will provide a preview of the upcoming content before it goes live.

The update builds on the ongoing post-launch support for the title, following prior expansions and performance upgrades. The developer also previously released anime-inspired cosmetics following the first season of Edgerunners in 2022, which contributed to revitalizing attention for the sci-fi RPG.
