Open-world wuxia action RPG Where Winds Meet is receiving its Hutuo anniversary update on Xbox Series X|S on November 13 (PT). The expansion introduces a battle-ravaged frontier centered around the defense of Zhongdu Bridge, placing players in the middle of a prolonged conflict featuring fresh story quests and challenging combat encounters.
The update brings several demanding boss battles requiring tactical parries and stance breaks, including confrontations against the super-armored Xiao Han, the agile Bingshen, and the ritualistic shaman Yelu Abuli. To expand combat options, choreographic work led by martial arts director Yuen Woo-ping introduces the Dual Spears fighting style on November 26, enabling seamless transitions between rapid thrusts and heavy stance-shattering strikes.
Beyond combat, the Hutuo expansion introduces two tactical tabletop minigames: Horse Racing Chess and Jianghu Tactics. The Xbox Series X|S version leverages AMD FSR 2 upscaling alongside HDR support, while login events and Xbox Game Pass Perks bundles provide players with complimentary cosmetic sets, currency, and draw materials to mark the game's anniversary.
