The upcoming retro-style shooter Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 is introducing complex environmental mechanics to test players. Developer Auroch Digital highlighted a particularly challenging puzzle map designed around moving mechanical components and chaotic organic themes.
Principal designer Matt Bone detailed the stage, known as Vicious Circles, describing it as a massive revolving structure packed with tentacles. Players stepping into the boots of a Space Marine or Sister of Battle must act as the figurative key to navigate the shifting mechanical lock.
The intricate design behind this rotatable fleshmetal stage reportedly proved to be a major technical challenge for the programming team during production. Fans will soon be able to experience the chaotic puzzle map firsthand when the title arrives.
