Digital Extremes has officially revealed that the next major step for Warframe is scheduled to arrive before the end of the year. The upcoming Tau update is slated to launch sometime in December, providing players with fresh territory to explore during the winter season.
The expansion will be delivered as a completely free content drop for the entire community. According to developer messaging, the release will allow players to venture outside the familiar confines of the Origin System into a completely new star system.
While an exact day in December has not yet been specified, the arrival of the Tau system marks a significant expansion for the long-running sci-fi action title, continuing the studio's tradition of offering large-scale additions at no added cost.
