Digital Extremes has revealed details for an upcoming expansion to Warframe arriving this December. The update takes players beyond the Origin System into the Tau System, offering fresh environments to explore across brand-new missions. Launching first are the criminal-dominated ring city of Fornax and the desolate badlands of Perita, with additional destinations planned for subsequent releases.
Alongside the new star chart territory comes the game's 67th playable frame, Brysko. Designed around a noir detective theme, Brysko features an internal monologue voiced by Matt Mercer, a loyal Hound companion, and signature gear including the Rain & Shine fist weapons and the Corecracker exalted pistol. He also debuts a new premium customization category known as Chimera Skins, letting players swap on the fly between standard and Sentient-styled forms complete with spoken dialogue.
The setting of Perita presents an ecosystem that collapsed into desert following the era known as The Old Peace. The region is now contested by feuding Dazannah clans, leaving a desperate chieftain's son, Catulast, to request assistance from the Tenno. Players will tackle missions in these hostile territories while regular activities in the Origin System continue to remain available.
