Bulkhead has detailed the upcoming changes scheduled for Wardogs Season 3 following missteps during the previous season. The development team acknowledged that earlier updates were overly aggressive reactions to vocal feedback, promising a more measured approach moving forward. The next season is set to roll out on November 12.
The update will introduce Sabatulo, an urban map focused on close-quarters combat to promote short-range gear. Additionally, progression is receiving multi-track unlocks as an interim balance measure ahead of a larger overhaul planned for 2027. Under this system, players can earn equipment across any role capable of using it rather than grinding through specific, unwanted classes. A new casual-friendly Limited mode will also debut, stripping out top-tier weapons, heavy armor, and vehicles to keep combat balanced.
Alongside the content rollout, Bulkhead activated a custom anti-cheat platform built using machine learning trained on 187 million hours of match data. According to the studio, the initial activation resulted in 185,000 banned accounts. Developer leadership cautioned that no technology will eliminate cheating entirely, but the automated pattern analysis aims to catch bad actors attempting to obscure their activity.
