The Outlast Trials: Steam concurrent players fall 50.7% in matched daily samples

NGR observed 21,789 concurrent Steam players for The Outlast Trials, compared with 44,181 at a matched time the day before.

The observations were recorded at 2026-10-12T05:18:57.000Z and 2026-10-11T05:38:15.000Z (UTC). The change between these two snapshots is -50.7%. These are observed concurrent counts, not daily active users or sales.

A change in concurrent players can reflect session timing, events, updates or other factors. These measurements do not establish a cause, a lifetime player record, profitability or the health of the wider game community.

Steam concurrent players: connected Steam users in the game at the observation time. This is not sales, revenue or total players. Missing observations are gaps, not zero. History starts when NGR first observes a game. Popular games are checked every 15 minutes; the rest of the catalogue is sampled on a rotating sweep. Playback transitions are visual animation, not additional measurements.
