Developer RGG Studio has confirmed that its upcoming brawler Stranger Than Heaven will provide a variety of accessibility features and optional cheat items to help players conquer its demanding combat. While the title introduces a stricter, parry-centric combat loop that requires close attention to enemy animations, the team is ensuring the journey remains open to those who prefer a less punishing experience.

According to producer Hiroyuki Sakamoto, player impressions from hands-on trade show demos guided the team to refine control responsiveness and balance. alongside traditional difficulty levels, the game includes equippable handicap garments right from the beginning. These items grant potent perks, such as automated health recovery, or allow users to overcome encounters relying purely on simple punches rather than intricate defensive maneuvers.

Players electing to equip these powerful assist items will display them openly, as the equipment takes the form of visible clothing garments during gameplay. For enthusiasts seeking a serious test of skill, Sakamoto noted that the top difficulty mode remains extremely challenging, leaving the full range of intensity directly in the player's hands.
