The inaugural season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled to roll out on November 6. The content drop brings a wave of additions spanning traditional multiplayer, DMZ, and battle pass rewards. At launch, multiplayer enthusiasts will receive three battlefields: the weathered ruins of Backstab, the rocky corridors of Canyon, and a snowy North Korean reimagining of Shoot House. Later in the mid-season update, players can expect the embassy-focused Ministry map and the factory-themed Overflow.

Alongside the map rotation, classic game types return to the playlist. Grind tasks players with banking dog tags collected from defeated rivals, while Drop Zone challenges squads to maintain control of a rotating territory to earn regular killstreak care packages. The mid-season will also introduce Counter Attack, a tactical mode centered around defending your own communications post while detonating explosives at the enemy installation.

The DMZ experience expands via X01, a captured underground weapons facility featuring hazard-laden corridors and closing exfiltration points alongside new orders and boss threats. Furthermore, the Season 1 Battle Pass incorporates the rapid-firing CSG-35 submachine gun and the balanced Cronen Osprey assault rifle, backed by an automated daily catch-up mechanic covering up to 50 tiers for premium purchasers.
