Developer House House has announced that its multiplayer title Big Walk will not be released on Xbox Series X and S consoles as long as Microsoft remains a designated boycott target of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. The studio shared the stance directly, clarifying that the absence of an Xbox edition is an intentional act of solidarity with the Palestinian-led initiative.
The BDS campaign singled out Microsoft due to ties and service agreements involving the Israeli military and government, urging consumers to bypass Xbox systems, games, and online services. In an official message, House House acknowledged that withholding an Xbox release conflicts with its ambition to let friend groups play cooperatively, but reiterated that it will not consider the platform until Microsoft or Xbox is removed from the boycott list.
Big Walk previously launched across PC and PlayStation 5 platforms. Addressing inquiries regarding the availability of the game on Windows PCs, it was noted that storefront purchases via third-party platforms such as Steam do not grant Microsoft a platform transaction cut in the way console purchases on the Xbox digital store would.
