Australian developer House House has officially clarified why its cooperative adventure title Big Walk bypassed Xbox Series X and S hardware. While the studio brought the critically praised game to PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2, Microsoft's platforms were intentionally excluded from the release schedule.
In a statement published on its website, the development team confirmed that it is actively taking part in the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) campaign. The movement specifically identified Microsoft and Xbox as priority boycott targets, leading House House to withhold its title from the ecosystem.
The studio acknowledged that omitting an Xbox version disappoints players who wished to explore the cooperative puzzle experience across all consoles. However, the developer confirmed that Big Walk will not arrive on Xbox platforms unless Microsoft or its gaming division are cleared from the boycott targets list.
