Final Fantasy XIV Evercold Expansion Delayed to February

Square Enix has shifted the launch of Final Fantasy XIV's Evercold expansion back by three weeks, setting a new full release date for February 23.

Square Enix has revised the release timeline for Final Fantasy XIV Evercold, pushing the upcoming expansion back by three weeks. Producer Naoki Yoshida confirmed the scheduling shift during the Fan Fest Tokyo gathering, noting that the release will move just slightly past its initial target window.

The expansion had originally been slated to arrive toward the end of January. Under the newly announced schedule, early access for the MMO's newest chapter will commence on February 19, with the complete public rollout following shortly after on February 23.

Players looking to secure their purchase ahead of time will be able to place pre-orders starting on November 4. While the delay requires fans to wait a bit longer into the new year, the adjustment represents a relatively brief postponement overall.

Announced release date: 23 Feb 2027
