Square Enix has provided a playtime estimate for the upcoming HD-2D title Final Fantasy Resonance. According to the publisher, finishing the core story campaign will take players roughly 30 to 40 hours.

This runtime covers the main narrative, which adapts the first season of the Brave Exvius storyline centered on Rain, Lasswell, and Fina. The publisher clarified that this figure excludes optional side activities, such as Secret Dungeons, which will add extra hours for completionists.

In community updates leading into the launch, the company also addressed accessibility for newcomers. Although the game features franchise crossovers and guest characters, standalone story segments will properly introduce them to unfamiliar players. Final Fantasy Resonance is scheduled to arrive on PC, PlayStation 5, Switch, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X on October 22, 2026, with a playable demo currently available.

Announced release date: 22 Oct 2026
