Epic Games Reveals Unreal Engine AI MegaJam With Cash Prizes and Continuation Grants

Epic Games has introduced the Unreal Engine AI MegaJam, inviting creators to develop games using AI tools alongside Unreal Engine and UEFN.

Epic Games has revealed the Unreal Engine AI MegaJam, a new competition challenging developers to build playable projects using Unreal Engine or Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). Participants can organize in groups of up to five people alongside an unrestricted number of artificial intelligence agents.

The competition allows participants to join virtually worldwide or on-site in San Francisco at Digital Jungle. Entrants are permitted to integrate various artificial intelligence workflows, including coding agents and asset generation utilities, with teams building alongside representatives from companies such as Anthropic, Google, Meshy, and OpenAI.

Cash prizes of $7,500 will be awarded to top-ranking entries across three individual categories. Additionally, selected Unreal Engine and UEFN projects will be eligible for continuation grants reaching up to $50,000 to support ongoing development following the event's kickoff early next month.
