Remedy Entertainment has reported a massive surge in quarterly revenue following the launch of Control Resonant. The studio generated €39.6 million during its third quarter, more than tripling the €12.2 million brought in during the identical period in the prior year. This financial jump was driven by preorders and the initial seven days of release sales.
The sequel officially crossed one million copies sold on October 15, setting a new record as the fastest-selling title in Remedy's history. The release also marks a major milestone as the developer's first self-published project of this scale using its own established intellectual property. Company leadership highlighted that roughly half of the game's player base represents new arrivals who had not engaged with the franchise previously.
Looking ahead, Remedy aims to sustain the game's commercial tail, noting that roughly 2.4 million prospective buyers currently have the project on their wishlists. The commercial triumph provides a crucial rebound for the company, which previously recorded an operating loss of €16.4 million following the underwhelming reception of FBC Firebreak.
