World of Warcraft: Forever Hosting Free Stress Test Ahead of Launch

Blizzard has announced a public server stress test for World of Warcraft: Forever, scheduled to take place on October 19 at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET. Unlike previous beta testing periods that required access through specific bundles, this session will be open to all players without the need for an active subscription or an existing beta pass.

Accessing the event requires only a Battle.net account and client. Participants can download the client by selecting the stress test option under the game version drop-down menu in the launcher. Blizzard explained that the goal is to uncover potential launch-day technical issues before the official release.

The test comes with strict limitations, as it will run for only a few hours and may end earlier or later depending on development needs. Characters created during this window will be deleted afterward. The ongoing closed beta will briefly pause during the event before concluding permanently on October 21, ahead of full launch on November 4.
