The second content cycle for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has officially arrived, bringing an assortment of new competitive options and customization tools. Leading the update is the introduction of Duel Mode, a specialized ruleset designed to shift focus away from standard 12-racer lobbies into head-to-head showdowns. This setup emphasizes precise item management, track positioning, and pacing against a single rival.
Customization mechanics are also expanding via the new Super Slot system for gadgets. By dedicating a slot specifically for one-slot gadgets, racers can amplify the chosen device's core benefits, encouraging fresh build experimentation. Alongside these mechanical updates, the content drop introduces additional characters, vehicles, and tracks to flesh out the multiplayer roster.
For retro gaming enthusiasts, the new Sega Consoles Pack incorporates three custom machines modeled after legacy hardware, including the Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, and Dreamcast. Available through Season Pass Two and the Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition, these karts translate vintage controllers and console contours into aerodynamic vehicle frames while supporting the title's modular front-and-rear assembly mechanic.
