Developer Funktronic Labs has launched Scramble Knights Online into Game Preview on Xbox Series X|S and PC. The title is available via Xbox Game Pass as a day-one inclusion, supporting Xbox Play Anywhere across consoles, personal computers, and supported handheld devices.
Originally revealed as a top-down battle royale called Scramble Knights Royale, the project underwent a significant redesign following negative player sentiment regarding its competitive mechanics. Playtest feedback prompted the studio to abandon the elimination format and spend months restructuring the title into a cooperative action RPG styled as an MMO-lite.
Set in the shared archipelago of Terracott, the game features a central Town Square hub where adventurers party up before tackling quests, puzzles, and dungeon bosses. In addition to four-player cooperative PvE, the game incorporates optional PvP encounters, crafting, fishing, and a chicken spectating mode upon death.
