Rockbeasts Partners with Critical Role and Targets January 2027 PS5 Launch

Independent studio Lichthund has revealed a collaboration with Critical Role to assist with both the creative direction and publishing duties for its upcoming game, Rockbeasts. The studio stated that the partnership will provide the backing necessary to realize its original vision for the title.

Alongside the publishing announcement, voice actors Matthew Mercer and Sam Riegel have officially joined the project's cast. Rockbeasts places players in the shoes of a music manager rather than a performer, requiring them to juggle resources, handle volatile band members, and steer a chaotic garage group toward major performance venues.

The rock-and-roll management role-playing game is slated to release for PlayStation 5 in January 2027. The developers confirmed that the game is now open for player wishlists on the platform.
