A major free expansion has arrived for Quarantine Zone: The Last Check. Titled Miami Zero, the add-on transports players back to the initial days of the outbreak on the streets of Miami. Serving as ground zero for the contagion, the prequel setting tasks players with managing critical screening checkpoints during the start of the apocalypse.
The expansion brings substantial gameplay additions to the simulation. More than 30 unique survivors join the screening pool with custom voice lines, distinct appearances, and new animations. Checkpoint duties now expand beyond detecting fresh symptoms like organ rot and parasites; inspectors must also search for smuggled narcotics hidden inside clothing or swallowed by refugees. Players can also utilize a new research centre to experiment on the infected, complete an overarching mission to repair an escape ship, or feed the infected to sharks.
Immersion upgrades accompany the fresh setting through a dynamic weather system that shifts between sunshine, dust storms, and tropical rain across locations like city piers and music festivals. The base campaign has also received updates alongside this release. Miami Zero is available now at no additional charge for all game owners on PC and Xbox Series X|S, including subscribers on PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass.
