Developer and publisher S-Game has outlined key details for Phantom Blade Zero, detailing an action-driven martial arts adventure slated to launch on October 28, 2026. The title is scheduled to release on PC via Steam for $59.99 / £49.99, while Steam Deck support is currently listed as unsupported. The game does not feature multiplayer modes.
The martial arts epic centers on the outlaw Soul, an orphan attempting to outrun a fatal 66-day lifespan imposed by an artificial replacement heart while pursuing his former ally Zuo Shang. Designed around rapid combat spectacle rather than standard punitive Soulslike mechanics, resting does not respawn defeated foes, death does not strip collected remnant echoes, and boss progression persists between phases even after defeat.
Players can utilize an arsenal of dozens of weapons and specialized secondary tools known as Phantom Edges, including bows, cannons, axes, and spiked flails. Weapons and tools gain additional perks as they are leveled up to rank 30, with full refund systems available to encourage equipment experimentation. The single-player campaign also features branching paths leading to multiple endings, followed by a New Game+ mode that carries forward all unlocked gear.
Announced release date: 28 Oct 2026
