Upcoming wuxia action title Phantom Blade Zero appears poised for major commercial success, with industry tracking indicating it has already surpassed one million units sold ahead of its official debut. The martial arts title from developer S-Game features actor Donnie Yen and is slated exclusively for PC and PlayStation 5.
According to data shared by Rhys Elliott of Alinea Analytics, the project reached roughly 850,000 pre-orders across Steam and the PlayStation Store in Western markets, with additional purchases via China's WeGame pushing total figures past the one million milestone. Steam reportedly accounted for about 75 percent of the Western storefront volume, while nearly two-thirds of worldwide pre-orders originated across China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Financially, these pre-release purchases are estimated to have generated around $43 million in gross revenue. While the analyst noted the project is not anticipated to match the historic launch pace set by 2024 breakout Black Myth: Wukong, its strong advance demand positions it as a major competitor in a crowded release calendar.
