Microsoft has revealed the Xbox Nano Controller, a portable gamepad tailored for smaller hands, younger audiences, and mobile play. Measuring just over five inches in length and weighing 3.5 ounces, the device is marketed as smaller and lighter than standard modern smartphones while preserving all 18 standard gameplay inputs.
The peripheral features Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth compatibility, allowing it to sync across different devices. It also incorporates an integrated rechargeable battery alongside a dedicated programmable Action Button meant for quick functions like capturing gameplay or screenshots. Alongside the announcement, references were made to titles such as Minecraft Dungeons II and Forza Horizon 6 as examples for multiplayer and on-the-go play.
Pre-orders for the Xbox Nano Controller opened at a suggested price of $49.99 USD, ahead of its November release window across dozens of international regions. Microsoft is also partnering with Samsung and Meta to bundle the accessory and two months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for new members purchasing select Samsung televisions or Meta Quest headsets during the holidays.
