Mafia 3: Definitive Edition Receives Quality-of-Life Steam Update for 10th Anniversary
Hangar 13 has rolled out a new Steam patch for Mafia 3: Definitive Edition, tackling long-standing mission blockers, crashes, and NPC bugs.
To commemorate a decade since the original release of Mafia 3, developer Hangar 13 has launched a surprise quality-of-life update on Steam for Mafia 3: Definitive Edition. The patch focuses on smoothing out the experience rather than introducing substantial new content.
The primary highlights of the patch resolve progression blockers that previously hindered campaign completion. Hangar 13 confirmed that it resolved issues where players found themselves stuck during key assignments, specifically pointing out missions such as 'Get Enzo Conti,' 'Kill Tommy Marcano,' and the story's Epilogue, alongside fixes for several mid-mission crashes.
In addition to stabilizing progression, the update addresses errant non-playable character behavior, preventing figures like Father James and Alcee from disrupting missions. Steam players will also benefit from enhanced achievement tracking to ensure milestones register properly as they advance through Lincoln Clay's campaign.
