Developer Digital Cybercherries has announced a major upcoming update for the Nintendo Switch edition of Hypercharge: Unboxed. Framed by the studio as the largest patch the Switch release has ever seen, the content drop is slated to arrive free of charge for all players on the platform.
A primary highlight of the patch is the introduction of full crossplay capabilities, expanding matchmaking options across supported systems. The toy-themed shooter originally gained cross-platform functionality on other hardware back in 2024, leaving Switch owners waiting for parity until now.
In addition to networked multiplayer features, the update bundles brand-new game modes and additional maps. The substantial refresh aims to revitalize the game's community on handheld hardware without requiring any supplementary purchase.
