Independent developer WDR Studios has shared details regarding its upcoming project, Terrible Lizards. The title combines first-person platforming and parkour mechanics with action-horror elements, putting players in scenarios where they must swiftly evade hostile prehistoric creatures.
The core gameplay focuses on momentum and fluid traversal. Mechanics include wall running, sliding, jumping between ledges, and interacting with environmental tools. The studio designed the movement around fixed maximum speeds and mid-air trajectory control, aiming to recreate the snappy responsiveness found in traditional first-person shooters.
Set in the early 1990s along Route 66, the narrative follows a stranded college traveler who encounters danger after entering a dinosaur-themed tourist destination named Dalton's Dinos. Terrible Lizards is scheduled to release on October 29.
