NGRFinal Fantasy XI Adding Trust Ascension and Celestite Gear in November Update
Final Fantasy XI is introducing a Trust Ascension upgrade system with Celestite gear for Alter Egos in its upcoming November 2026 update.
Square Enix has revealed plans for the next major Version Update for Final Fantasy XI, slated to roll out on November 10, 2026. Director and Producer Yoji Fujito shared that the patch will introduce a Trust magic enhancement feature dubbed Trust Ascension, designed to bolster players' Alter Ego companions.
Central to the Trust Ascension mechanic is a new gear type known as Celestite equipment. These items are assigned directly to Alter Ego companions to enhance their core performance in battle. Preview images revealed numbered levels tied to defensive gear, while available options will cater to attributes including Accuracy, Attack, and Defense. Players will be able to purchase Celestite gear directly from vendor NPCs.
Alongside the companion upgrade system, the update will refresh existing staples such as Records of Eminence, Escutcheon, and Ambuscade. Additional details and gameplay demonstrations are scheduled to appear in an upcoming broadcast of Freshly Picked Vana'diel Episode 73 on YouTube.
