NGREpic Games Delays Unannounced Marvel and Star Wars Shooter
Epic Games has reportedly delayed an unannounced Marvel and Star Wars crossover shooter past its planned 2027 window as it pushes generative AI integration.
Epic Games has postponed development on an unannounced shooter featuring characters from both Marvel and Star Wars, according to a report from Bloomberg. The project from the Fortnite developer currently lacks a revised launch schedule.
The crossover title was originally targeting a March 2027 release window prior to the delay. Reports indicate that Epic is now directing developers on the project to incorporate generative artificial intelligence tools, such as Anthropic's Claude, into the production workflow.
Because the title has not been formally announced, details regarding specific platforms or finalized gameplay mechanics remain unconfirmed. For now, the integration of new AI technology leaves the future release timeline uncertain for players following Epic's major Disney collaborations.
