Developer Othergate has deployed the Monster Mash update for Dungeons of Eternity, introducing seasonal celebrations and lasting gameplay adjustments. The Stormgrave realm has returned as a permanent fixture by popular demand, bringing along the Deadwood Forest chamber style complete with graveyards, tombs, and dead trees. The game's lobby and main menu have also been refreshed to reflect the Deadwood Forest aesthetic.
The update also introduces multiple new enemy encounters across dungeon runs. Players will face off against a vampire miniboss within the Stormgrave realm, while mummies substitute for zombies in Sandstorm, and exploding pumpkin head skeletons pursue adventurers. Additionally, The Keep chambers now feature several new variants, and a paid Halloween Cosmetics Bundle DLC offers themed headpieces, wings, and accent colors for $6.99.
Quality-of-life and social mechanics have seen notable revisions as well. Adventurers can now trade weapons with one another in the outpost vendor area, sort their gear using a newly added potion chest, and navigate the outpost via a teleporter linking the Crypt to the Vendor area. Traversal now carries higher stakes, as players who fall into pits must rely on teammates to hoist them back up. Lastly, players receive room trophies honoring the title's third anniversary based on their account longevity.
