Developer Dream Dock has confirmed the upcoming launch schedule for DREADMOOR, a first-person survival adventure centered around angling across hazardous waters. Unlike relaxing recreational fishing titles, this release drops players into a decaying, submerged environment filled with lurking threats across both sea and land.
Survival forms the core loop of the experience, requiring players to pilot a trawler and explore barren surroundings. Progression revolves around locating optimal fishing spots, utilizing specific types of bait to capture dozens of mutated aquatic species, and scavenging for decaying resources and materials scattered throughout the environment.
Beyond catching mutated creatures, players will defend themselves through combat capabilities and dock at dispersed settlements to trade their haul. The income generated from trading allows captains to craft critical gear and purchase upgrades for their trawler to better handle the hostile waters.
