Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Expansion Access Details and Level Requirements Revealed

Capcom's Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen expansion adds the Norgan zone and endgame dungeons, requiring players to speak with Captain Brant in Vernworth.

Players jumping into the Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen expansion will need to track down Captain Brant to begin their new journey. By visiting The Stardrop Inn in Vernworth during the nighttime, adventurers can initiate two fresh dialogue prompts that split the expansion's offerings into exploration and endgame challenges. The new storyline directs travelers to Norgan, a harsh, wintery northern area teeming with monsters.

Engaging Brant with the dialogue option concerning the new Arisen kicks off the Chilling Tidings questline, granting access to the Norgan region. Alternatively, inquiring about uncovered ruins triggers the Lost Rites quest, which introduces a set of twelve challenging endgame dungeons. Capcom advises that characters reach at least level 40 before tackling these new encounters, though the distinct dungeons present varied difficulty curves.

Progression restrictions apply to characters who have advanced into the late-game Unmoored World state. Those players cannot initiate the DLC directly and must instead transition into New Game+ to participate. To bypass completing the current cycle normally, players can utilize a save menu feature to immediately branch their existing save into a New Game+ run, keeping their level and gear while restarting quest states.
