Death Stranding Isolations Anime Revealed With First Teaser Trailer

Kojima Productions has revealed the debut teaser trailer for Death Stranding Isolations, an original animated project set within the Death Stranding universe. The series is planned to stream exclusively worldwide on Disney+ sometime in 2027, expanding the post-apocalyptic franchise into new storytelling territory.

Rather than continuing the journey of established game protagonists like Sam Porter Bridges, the show focuses on an entirely original cast. The initial teaser features a blonde protagonist waking from a nightmare involving the franchise's iconic tar, accompanied by the somber tagline stating that her mother became a crater.

The production brings together seasoned anime industry veterans. Takayuki Sano directs the project at animation studio E&H production, while science fiction author Tow Ubukata oversees series composition and scriptwriting duties.
