Dave the Diver Announces Subnautica 2 Crossover DLC for Early 2027
Mintrocket revealed an upcoming Dave the Diver crossover with Subnautica 2, bringing alien ocean wildlife into Dave's underwater adventures.
Mintrocket has revealed a new crossover expansion for Dave the Diver featuring the alien waters of Subnautica 2. Revealed during the Triple-I Initiative showcase, the upcoming content pack is scheduled to arrive in early 2027. The add-on will transport Dave into unfamiliar territory where he can gather resources and hunt extraterrestrial sea creatures.
The expansion brings various aquatic fauna from Unknown Worlds' survival title, including the aggressive Nibbler Mangos and an imposing boss encounter shown in the reveal trailer. Unlike the defensive constraints in Subnautica 2, this crossover allows players to hunt these alien species directly using Dave the Diver's familiar action mechanics.
Developer Mintrocket confirmed that this release represents the final major DLC package for Dave the Diver, though the studio noted that smaller updates and future collaborations may still occur. Additionally, supporting character Bancho the Chef will star in his own upcoming prequel game, which does not yet have a formal launch date.
