Valve has issued a new patch for Counter-Strike 2, headlined by quality-of-life adjustments to weapon handling. Players now have access to a dedicated setting that lets them choose between holding or toggling the input for silent reload mode. When using the toggle configuration, players no longer need to continuously depress the reload key once the action begins, and pressing the button a second time will cancel the quiet sequence to return to standard fast reloading.

Alongside the new input preference, the developers addressed audio reliability issues tied to silent reloads. The update resolves multiple edge cases where the initial sound cue of a reload would still broadcast aloud even when a participant attempted to reload quietly.

The patch also delivers technical corrections across rendering and replay tools. A graphical glitch that caused liquids to appear entirely black on systems running AMD graphics cards has been addressed, and several user interface and audio errors that surfaced when rewinding match demos have been resolved.
