Developer Mad Herons and co-directors Nick Park and Jacques Mouledoux have revealed a new gameplay trailer for Send in the Clown. The short comedic adventure runs approximately one hour and follows Pockets, an unappreciated clown attempting to rescue a 12-year-old girl's birthday celebration from her misbehaving brother.

The title features an unusual structure, incorporating an entire turn-based role-playing combat framework constructed solely for one climactic confrontation. In preparation for the final brawl, players recruit various party attendees and collect items throughout the event to unlock distinct battle maneuvers, ranging from protective defensive buffs to outlandish offensive strikes.

Additional activities scattered around the celebration allow players to gain extra advantages during the encounter, such as locating childhood photographs or waking family members. Send in the Clown is scheduled to release later this year on PC via Steam, with a playable demo currently available.
