Collaborative development group Team Peak, formed by Aggro Crab and Landfall, has revealed that its co-op climbing title Peak is heading to PlayStation 5 on October 22. The title tasks solo players or groups of up to four lost scouts with ascending a perilous mountain to escape an enigmatic island before falling victim to starvation, the encroaching fog, or various environmental threats.
The upcoming PlayStation 5 release will launch with full crossplay support, enabling up to four companions to tackle the climb together across different platforms. The port also bundles every previously released update, offering all biomes, items, and gameplay additions introduced since the game first debuted.
During the expedition, climbers must navigate through four distinct biomes packed with hazards such as tornadoes, toxic gas, aggressive birds, and zombies. Players are required to scavenge for sustenance and treat physical injuries, as physical trauma restricts overall stamina and increases the difficulty of vertical traversal. Match options can also be adjusted, allowing groups to tailor difficulty levels or enable mechanics like kicking teammates.
