Development on the medieval sandbox title Chronicles: Medieval has been thrown into serious jeopardy after developer Raw Power Games revealed that essential financial backing has collapsed. In a public statement shared on social media, the team cautioned that it might have to close its doors entirely before ever reaching the game's planned Early Access debut.
The studio, which operates out of Copenhagen alongside remote team members, explained that unforeseen events led to the sudden loss of funding necessary to sustain ongoing production. Management expressed deep frustration at the timing, noting that development on the open-world action and strategy project had reached a stage where an Early Access launch felt practically within reach.
The title originally captured widespread player interest following a Summer Game Fest 2025 reveal trailer narrated by Tom Hardy. While the studio has pledged to explore options and continue fighting to keep the project alive, it urged interested players to wishlist the title and maintain community discussion to help support their efforts through the crisis.
