The indie compilation Cartomancy Anthology has transitioned to a free-to-play model on Steam. The collection of 22 games originally launched on the platform in 2022 with a standard price tag of $24.99 USD, but players can now claim and play it at no cost.
The project was originally funded through a successful Kickstarter campaign that secured more than $30,000 from backers. While a Nintendo Switch version was initially considered during development, the campaign missed the stretch goal required to fund the console port.
Because the stretch funding target was not met, the anthology released exclusively across PC storefronts on Steam and itch.io. The removal of the entry fee now allows PC players to access the entire 22-game package without an upfront purchase.
