Developer Gust has confirmed a dynamic physical appearance mechanic for its upcoming fantasy alchemy RPG, Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories. The studio revealed the addition on the project's official website following user feedback gathered through a recent community survey.
Under the new system, protagonist Karia's physical frame alters according to the amount of snacks she consumes during the adventure. Depending on dietary habits in-game, her appearance can shift between slimmer and fuller builds over the course of play.
To ensure player flexibility, the feature includes custom control options. Adventurers can toggle the automatic transformation setting on or off, as well as lock a preferred physical appearance in place if they do not want it to fluctuate.
