AION 2: Steam concurrent players fall 86.6% in matched daily samples

NGR observed 19,986 concurrent Steam players for AION 2, compared with 148,757 at a matched time the day before.

The observations were recorded at 2026-10-21T06:45:22.000Z and 2026-10-20T07:04:06.000Z (UTC). The change between these two snapshots is -86.6%. These are observed concurrent counts, not daily active users or sales.

A change in concurrent players can reflect session timing, events, updates or other factors. These measurements do not establish a cause, a lifetime player record, profitability or the health of the wider game community.

Steam concurrent players: connected Steam users in the game at the observation time. This is not sales, revenue or total players. Missing observations are gaps, not zero. History starts when NGR first observes a game. Popular games are checked every 15 minutes; the rest of the catalogue is sampled on a rotating sweep. Playback transitions are visual animation, not additional measurements.
